About the ST-ISAC
The ST-ISAC, founded in 2002 by RCI, supports Critical Infrastructure (CI) security efforts by combining industry-specific knowledge with robust outreach, a dedicated analytical capability, and efficient and secure communications, and robust industry engagement for the trucking and freight rail community. We empower our members to make informed operational and strategic decisions for transport-specific security challenges, mitigate both cyber and physical threats, explore emerging concerns, technologies, and trends, and further the security posture of the surface transportation industry as a whole.
To facilitate improved situational awareness, the ST ISAC collects, analyzes, and distributes physical and cybersecurity-related information from numerous sources, including private infrastructure, the U.S. Government and Military, law enforcement, academia, news media organizations, and the international community. We also provide a secure, two-way reporting mechanism that enables the efficient transmission of critical alerts and advisories; thereby creating a crucial linkage between members, industry organizations, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), the U.S. Department of Transportation (DoT), the Federal Transit Administration (FTA), Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), and other essential entities.
